FINDS WORLD MASTERS GAMES PARTNER FOR REG - AGED
101! Those of us who dream of living
to 'a ripe old age' imagine sipping a hot cuppa
while sitting on the verandah or in front of the
TV with a rug over our lap. If 101 represents that
ripe old age, Reg Trewin sees life a little
differently to most.
Thrilled to have been
officially recognised as the oldest competitor in
the 2009 Sydney World Masters Games, Reg won't be
sitting in the stands (with or without rug)
watching on. He'll be taking to the bowling green
in the with his newfound partner, Helene... and
Reg thinks they're in with a good chance
of bringing home a medal!

DOOD'S TIPS ON HOW TO USE DOUBLE DRUMMER
|
Replying to contacts
Occasionally you will receive an
e-mail from Double Drummer letting you know that a
member wishes to contact you about an activity or
sport you're interested in. Simply click the link
in the e-mail and you'll be taken to a web page
where you can view the profile of the member who
contacted you. You can then decide if you'd like
to meet up or not by clicking on the appropriate
button. If you click on the I'm
interested button, $1 will be deducted from
your account and the e-mail and/or phone details
of the member who contacted you will be displayed
on the page. An e-mail with a link to your profile
and contact details will also be sent to the
member who contacted you. Then either of you can
simply e-mail or call the other to organise your
first activity.

| WHAT'S
NEW |
Try DD's new search options
New and improved search features are
now available on the DD web site to allow you to
find playing partners much faster and with more
ease.
We've had requests from members who
weren't exactly sure what activity or sport they'd
like to play or take up... so they just
wanted to check out what was on offer in their
local area.
Previously, to start
your search you had to first select an activity or
sport. That's no longer a mandatory. You can
simply leave the activity/sport blank and enter
your local suburb and postcode. The search results
will then show you all the listed
activities/sports in which members are
participating in your area. You can then browse
through and contact the ones that most interest
you.
Other new features include the
addition of a weather report on
your 'my profile' page and the addition of a DD
blog that provides a place for the
team at Double Drummer and anyone else out there
to engage in discussion about all things
sport.
